Thanks for the replies, just in case anybody needs to deploy the working OneDrive sync client and finds this thread in the future this is what I am finding so far-ġ- There is apparently no Onedrive forum on Social Technet, I Has anyone run into this and experienced data loss? Has anyone found a way to check for the 2013 OneDrive for Business client health before deploying the upgrade? ie- is there a way to create a collection of healthy OneDrive synch clients? When users who are syncing files with the previous OneDrive for Business sync app (Groove.exe) sign in to the new OneDrive sync app (OneDrive.exe), the following things happen: If the new OneDrive sync app can take over syncing a library, the previous sync app stops syncing it and the new OneDrive sync app takes over syncing it without re-downloading the content. The new OneDrive for Business sync client doesnt yet support syncing site libraries or on-premises instances of OneDrive for Business.

While an in-place upgrade to this new client is possible, I understand that the process deletes all of the local OneDrive data that a user has on their PC and re-downloads everything from the cloud. Unfortunately, there is no easy way to bulk uninstall the old version of OneDrive for Business.
